Car accidents happen in Dayton every day and are sometimes unavoidable. However, there are some intersections in Dayton and the Miami Valley area, that are more dangerous than others. According to a recent study, almost a quarter of the state’s 100 most dangerous intersections are in the Miami Valley. During a two-year span, crashes at the 22 trouble spots resulted in 509 injuries.
Eleven of the worst 100 intersections are located in Montgomery County, home to just 4.6 percent of the state’s population. The worst area intersection on the list is Airway Road and Woodman Drive in Riverside, where 36 people were injured in 44 separate crashes from 2013-2015.
